Es ist schleichend geschehen, als Sigil Games Online eine Überarbeitung an der offiziellen FAQ zu Vanguard Saga of Heroes vorgenommen hat. Doch schaut man sich die Seite nun an, blinken viele Zeilen in blauer Farbe auf, was soviel bedeutet wie "Hier wurde etwas verändert".

Aus der FAQ lassen sich nun Informationen entnehmen, wie wann die nächste Beta Phase 3 beginnt (im Juli), wann der Release geplant ist ( November / Dezember 2006). Zusätzlich gibt Sigil einige Informationen über das Gameplay heraus, so wird es zum Beispiel ein Navigations-System geben, welches allerdings davon abhänig ist, wo der Avatar bereits schon war.

Phase 3: Fill up both Thestra and Qalia. Continue to monitor how fast people are advancing, plus everything else that was in phase 1 and 2. This probably should be the longest phase. Test even more high level areas, but probably not the highest level areas, unless with specific, hand chosen focus groups. The primary focus, however, will be on finalizing levels 1-35.

t´s too early to announce Vanguard´s hardware, memory, or storage requirements, but our current guess at a ´min´ spec is a machine with a 2.4 ghz processor, a graphics card with 128M of RAM, and between 512megs and 1 gig of system memory. Higher end systems will be able to take advantage of certain graphics and display options, but it is very important to us that Vanguard be a game that can be played and enjoyed on an ´average´ gaming machine. Also, keep in mind that faster computers and graphics cards, plus the price of RAM, continue to go down -- with our planned release date being Winter 2006/07, a machine that will run Vanguard well will not be a costly one.
